Speculating on the bounderies of perception

Recognition is built on a series of preconceived values that are defined from the first time we see something. These values are re-affirmed or adjusted on subsequent sightings of the same or similar type of thing. Once sufficient data has been collated by the brain. It can start to make certain assumptions on further sightings of that type of thing. For example can of coke

In a sense the mind ceases collating data on that subject so when you see an object that is very commonplace to you (such as a can of coke), the brain does not need to examine it as new information but simply access the stored information on it. So in a sense you do not see the object so much as accessing a set of information for that particular object.

objects values are only reassesed when something is recognised as being different or is obseverved from a different point of view.
